RICHARD ALBISTON – MANAGING DIRECTOR
Richard Albiston worked for many years under the tutelage of internationally renowned director, producer, writer and multi-Academy Award nominee Menahem Golan. Under his guidance, they created screenplays such as Allan Quatermain and the Jewel of the East, Return of the Delta Force and more. He has also worked with noted independent producer Ovidio G. Assonitis in various capacities including managing AONE Highway Film Investments. In 2011, he directed the feature film Something Evil, Something Dangerous: New Moon Rising. He holds a BA (Hons) degree & a MA from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). He worked briefly with several international studios before founding the company in 2014.
NAOMI STROMIRE – DIRECTOR OF CREATIVE AFFAIRS
Naomi Stromire joined The Cannon Film Company in 2016 where she serves as the Director of Creative Development. She graduated from the University of Cumbria with a degree in Drama and Creative Writing in 2010. She first teamed up with Richard Albiston in 2011 at The New Vision Group, producing the successful feature film, Something Evil, Something Dangerous: New Moon Rising. In her role at The Cannon Film Company, Naomi has overseen the development of several projects including Night Cries, The Returners and The Creature of Kissel County.
JIM LATTIMORE – DIRECTOR OF ACQUISITIONS & PRODUCTION
Jim Lattimore serves as the Director of Acquisitions & Production at The Cannon Film Company. He is a graduate of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) and has served as producer and has consulted on independent productions for almost a decade. He joined The Cannon Film Company in 2016 after he produced the British Cold War inspired thriller, Bastion, starring Leo Taylor-Jannati and Keith Flood. During his time at the company, Jim has overseen a partnership output deal with Barbary Shore Pictures, along with the acquisition of properties such as Prying Eyes and Creature of Kissel County.
KERRY STROMIRE – DIRECTOR OF FEATURES & SERIES
Kerry Stromire was a founding member of The New Vision Group, a producers consortium created to produce Something Evil, Something Dangerous: New Moon Rising and was instrumental in its development and production, now he returns for the follow-up, Night Cries. In his role at The Cannon Film Company alongside his wife, Naomi, he has instigated a new look slate of films including adaptations of existing properties such as The Scent of Money and the mini-series The Genesis Man with express cooperation of Barbary Shore Pictures.
ALAN CALDER – DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT
Alan Calder is the Director of Corporate Development at the company. Alan graduated from Staffordshire University with a BSc (Hons) in Film Production Technology, being nominated for a Royal Television Society Student Award whilst studying there. After graduating, he founded a media and design company specialising in video, graphics and photography, winning praise from several British and international clients. He joined the company in 2015.
JOANNE ALBISTON – DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS AFFAIRS AND OPERATIONS
Joanne Albiston joined the company at its founding in 2014. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science and MA in Environmental Management and Consultancy from Lancaster University. She continues to ensure that The Cannon Film Company’s operations have minimal impact on the environment and follow sustainability guidelines. In 2019, she pioneered the partnership between The Cannon Film Company and Barbary Shore Pictures for ongoing co-production activities.
